THE LIST OF PROJECTS WHICH ARE PLANNED TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN ENERGY SECTOR AND ROAD AND TRANSPORTATION SECTOR IN 2017 APPROVED
A list of projects and programs, which will be implemented in energy, roads and transport sector approved. A project contractor will be selected accordance with applicable laws and regulations under turnkey condition to invest in project and handover. The relevant ministers had given tasks to make contract and begin project work in the first quarter of 2017.
Following projects included in the list:
1. A project to increase power of Thermal power plant#3 by 250MW and expand heat transmission network.
2. A project to increase power of Choibalsan Thermal power plant by 50MW and expand heat transmission network.
3. A project for expanding Baganuur- Choir OHTL and Baganuur substation.
4. Choir substation construction and expansion project.
5. A construction project of substation and 35kV OHTL between Khushuut coal mine and Altai sum.
6. A project to build railways up to 192 km from Choibalsan to Khuut mine.
7. A project to build railways up to 234 km from Khuut mine to Bichigt-border point.
8. A project to build railways up to 281 km from Zuunbayan railway station to Khangi-border point.
9. A project to build railways up to 45.3 km from Nariinsukhait coal mine to Shiveekhuren-border point.
For continuing project of Tevshiingobi power plant, the government had promoted to continuing to deal the direct concession contract with interested legal entity and intensifying by government meeting. In year 2014, tender had canceled because of the legal entity was not selected.
